This is a quick and painless procedure that has an immediate effect and provides a smoother foundation for make-up.  This procedure can be used as an add-on with Microneedling to help maximize results.

aftercare

    • Limit make-up use for 24 to 48 hours

    • Apply gentle moisturizers and  sun block 

    • After 24 hours, it is recommended to use good moisturizers and product containing hyaluronic acid to keep skin hydrated.

    • Avoid touching face after the procedure

    • Avoid exposure to the sun for 3 days post procedure

    • Do not use any harsh products on face for 24 to 48 hours

FAQs

  • Not at all.  When the hair grows back, it will come in at the same speed and thickness as it always has.   It may feel different due to the angle it was removed. 

  • No, it is not the same as shaving.  This procedure provides exfoliation as well as hair removal and is performed by a licensed professional. 

  • Dermaplaning uses a scalpel to remove dead skin cells as well as peach fuzz and hair and Microdermabrasian is the use of suctioning to exfoliate the skin with removal of peach fuzz or hair.

  • Yes. It is more effective at removing anything your home exfoliates cannot remove.  It smooths out uneven skin texture while providing hair removal for more even and smooth application of make-up.

  • No, Dermaplaning should be avoided in areas where there is active acne.  It can, however, be performed in all other areas of the face.

    No, Dermaplaning does NOT cause acne.  By removing excess skin and oils, it can actually help in preventing breakouts.
